SaaS trial expired email examples

What great SaaS trial expired emails do

Trial expired emails go out after a trial ends without an upgrade. They keep the door open with a reason to come back: an extension, an offer or a reminder of what is waiting.

1. 1

   Keep their work safe

Telling users their data is kept for a while removes the pressure and makes returning feel easy.

2. 2

   Offer a way back

An extra week, a first-month discount or a smaller plan gives undecided users a reason to act now.

3. 3

   Ask why

A one-question reply ("What stopped you?") surfaces objections you can fix in the product or in the next email.
