Best Email Tools With Superwall Integration (2026)

How we compare tools

Superwall is excellent at getting users to a paywall and converting them there. What happens after they leave it, whether they started a trial, cancelled, hit a billing issue or simply closed the paywall, is up to your messaging tool. Superwall streams those events out; it does not send email itself.

The integration list is shorter than you might expect. As of October 2026, Superwall's integrations page shows only two live messaging integrations, with four more marked "coming soon". This page covers every tool I could verify, how each connection works, and what to do about the events Superwall's webhooks do not include.

Disclosure: I build Sequenzy, which is one of the tools below. Tools are listed alphabetically, not ranked.

Superwall says its integrations are free on every plan and that webhook delivery is free at any scale. Most integrations show "Needs revenue tracking" until you configure revenue tracking in Superwall.

The gap every Superwall setup has: paywall declines

Superwall's webhooks carry purchases and subscription changes. They do not carry what happens on the paywall itself: a user closing it without buying (paywall_decline), starting checkout and backing out (transaction_abandon), or a failed purchase (transaction_fail). Those events reach the SuperwallDelegate inside your app.

Since most users who see a paywall leave without buying, those are the users worth a follow-up. To email them, forward the delegate events to your messaging tool with its mobile SDK, then start a sequence from the event. Sequenzy's Superwall docs include delegate code for iOS, Android, Flutter and React Native; the same pattern works with any tool that has an SDK track call.

The live Superwall integrations

1. Customer.io

Best for: Teams that want Superwall's subscription events as named events in a self-serve journey builder.

Setup: In Superwall, open Integrations, choose Customer.io and add your Data Pipelines API key and region (US or EU). Superwall must have revenue tracking configured first.

Superwall sends events to Customer.io's Data Pipelines API with an sw_ prefix, including sw_trial_start, sw_trial_converted, sw_subscription_cancelled, sw_billing_issue and sw_refund, each with revenue. Those names are what you trigger campaigns from.

Paywall follow-ups: Customer.io has mobile SDKs, so forward paywall_decline and transaction_abandon from your SuperwallDelegate with the Customer.io SDK's track call and trigger a campaign from them.

  • Pros: Named events with revenue, EU region support, built and maintained by Superwall.
  • Cons: Requires Superwall revenue tracking, per-profile billing, no scheduled trial reminder.

Verdict: The most complete integration Superwall itself offers.

2. MoEngage

Best for: Teams already on MoEngage.

Setup: MoEngage documents pointing a Superwall webhook at a MoEngage endpoint. It is not on Superwall's integrations page, so coordinate the endpoint and event mapping with MoEngage.

Because the mapping lives on MoEngage's side, confirm which Superwall events and fields it reads, and whether it handles Webhooks V2, before you build journeys.

Paywall follow-ups: Forward delegate events with the MoEngage SDK's event tracking.

  • Pros: Same approach works for RevenueCat and Adapty.
  • Cons: Not listed by Superwall, mapping details not public.

Verdict: Only worth it if MoEngage is already your platform.

3. OneSignal

Best for: Push-first apps that want to target by subscription state.

Setup: In Superwall, open Integrations, choose OneSignal and add your OneSignal app ID and API key.

Superwall keeps OneSignal user tags current: subscription_status, active_subscription, product_id, expiration_at and similar. There are no events, so "send a push when a billing issue happens" is not possible from this integration alone; "push everyone whose subscription expired last week" is.

Paywall follow-ups: Set a tag such as paywall_declined with the OneSignal SDK from your SuperwallDelegate, then target it.

  • Pros: Free OneSignal tier, quick setup.
  • Cons: Tags only, no revenue, no event-triggered flows.

Verdict: Useful for segments, not for lifecycle email.

4. Sequenzy

Best for: Apps that want Superwall events, paywall follow-ups and a trial reminder in one place, without building a webhook receiver.

Setup: In Sequenzy, connect Superwall and copy the webhook URL into Superwall's webhook settings, then paste Superwall's signing secret back into Sequenzy. Set an email user attribute in Superwall after sign-in.

Disclosure: I build Sequenzy, so this section describes the product. It does not rank it.

This is a webhook connection built on Sequenzy's side rather than a Superwall integration tile. It accepts Webhooks V2 and the legacy format and verifies every delivery. Subscription events become Sequenzy events and tag changes with mrr, ltv, store and renewal-date attributes, sandbox events are ignored, and saas.trial_will_end is scheduled 3 days before each trial ends. Users are matched by the ID you pass to Superwall's identify() and its aliases, then by the email attribute.

Paywall follow-ups: Sequenzy's docs include ready-made SuperwallDelegate code for iOS, Android, Flutter and React Native that forwards paywall_decline, transaction_abandon and transaction_fail with the paywall identifier and product, so a follow-up can mention the offer the user saw. Push and in-app messages run in the same sequence.

  • Pros: Works without waiting for Superwall's integration list, trial reminder, delegate code provided, email plus push and in-app.
  • Cons: Not a Superwall-listed tile, no bulk import of existing subscribers, revenue gross of store fees.

Verdict: The fullest Superwall setup today for apps under enterprise scale. Details on the Superwall integration page.

Coming soon: Braze, Iterable, CleverTap and Airship

Superwall lists Braze, Iterable, CleverTap and Airship as coming soon, and its SDK already has fields for their user IDs. Until they ship, you have two options:

  • Run Superwall on top of RevenueCat and use RevenueCat's native integration with your tool. All four have one. Our list of email tools with RevenueCat integration covers what each sends.
  • Forward Superwall webhooks yourself to the tool's API. You handle signature verification, retries, deduplication and identity matching.

Tools with no Superwall connection

Klaviyo, Loops, Mailchimp, Brevo and Intercom are not on Superwall's list and do not document a Superwall integration. Use a webhook relay if you must.

Which one to pick

  • Indie or growing app, paywall follow-ups and trial reminders, one flat bill: Sequenzy.
  • Self-serve journeys with Superwall events, per-profile pricing is fine: Customer.io.
  • Push targeting by subscription state: OneSignal.
  • One enterprise vendor for every channel: MoEngage, or wait for Braze and Iterable.

Frequently asked questions

Which email tools integrate with Superwall?

Customer.io and OneSignal have live native integrations built by Superwall. Sequenzy connects from its side by receiving Superwall webhooks, and MoEngage documents a webhook connection. Superwall lists Braze, Iterable, CleverTap and Airship as coming soon.

Does Superwall send emails?

No. Superwall runs paywalls and subscription infrastructure and streams events to messaging tools. Its win-back funnels can be published as web links that you put in your own emails.

Are Superwall integrations free?

Yes. Superwall says integrations are free on every plan and webhook delivery is free at any scale. Most integrations require revenue tracking to be configured first.

How do I email users who declined a Superwall paywall?

Superwall's webhooks only carry purchases and subscription changes. Paywall declines and abandoned checkouts reach the SuperwallDelegate in your app. Forward events like paywall_decline and transaction_abandon to your email tool with its SDK, then start a follow-up sequence from them.

Can I use Braze with Superwall?

Not natively yet. Superwall lists Braze as coming soon. Until then, connect Braze through RevenueCat if you run Superwall on top of RevenueCat, or forward Superwall webhooks to Braze with your own server.
