Menards starts with a rebate-led sale email, then continues with closely spaced weekly-flyer promotions. Eleven of the 12 emails repeat the same urgency-focused preview text, while the subject lines commonly feature a product, price, and rebate offer.

The first Menards email arrives on signup day and goes straight to an offer: “Licensed Jr Twin Airbed ONLY $9.99 After Rebate*!”. Its content promotes limited-time weekly-flyer deals, including a rebate offer, and urges shoppers to act before inventory runs out. All 12 emails are labeled sale or discount.
The emails then cover products including toe warmers, a Halloween necklace, an electronic bug detector, bed risers, and a turkey fryer. Each email is labeled sale or discount, and the content describes weekly-flyer promotions, limited-time deals, or discounted merchandise.
After the signup-day message, Menards sends no email on day 1, then sends two emails on each day from day 2 through day 6 before sending one more on day 7. The result is a run of weekly-flyer promotions, with different products and offers featured across the subject lines.
The products include household storage, heated accessories, fitness equipment, seasonal merchandise, and “Odds & Ends and MORE HOT DEALS!”. Eleven of the 12 subject lines include “After Rebate*”, and the email content repeatedly describes limited availability or encourages subscribers to shop before offers end. A similar approach would group several sale messages around a weekly flyer while giving each send a distinct featured product.
The preview text “These Deals Go Fast, Shop Now Before They're Gone!” appears on 11 of 12 emails. It accompanies content about limited-time deals, limited stock, or shopping before items sell out. The only variation is on the Open Storage Bin email, which uses “Don't Miss These Great Deals! While Supplies Last!”.
Subject lines commonly do the merchandising work. Most name a product, present a price with “ONLY”, and include “After Rebate*”, as in “Heat Pro Toe Warmers - 30 Pair ONLY $14.99 After Rebate*!”. The Open Storage Bin subject adds “PLUS New Weekly Flyer!” after its rebate language, while “Odds & Ends and MORE HOT DEALS!” does not name a single product or include a price.
