Your Product Data, Turned Into Emails
Amplitude tells you what users do. Sequenzy turns that into the email that should follow: a tip when someone stalls, a thank-you when they upgrade, a check-in when they go quiet.
One webhook URL takes all three of Amplitude's webhook destinations:
| Amplitude sends | What Sequenzy does |
|---|---|
| Events | Records product.<event type> on the contact and triggers automations |
| Users | Updates the contact's name and user properties |
| Cohorts | People entering get the cohort's tag, people leaving lose it |
Cohorts Without the Email Blast
When you start syncing a cohort, Amplitude sends everyone already in it. Sequenzy tags those members without starting automations, new-contact notifications or confirmation emails. From then on, people entering the cohort start your Tag added automations. Each cohort keeps its tag even if you rename it in Amplitude.
Before You Connect
- Set an
emailuser property. Call identify with the email when users sign in, so events can be matched to someone you can email. - Copy the header value when it's shown. Sequenzy stores it encrypted. You can generate new credentials later and update the destinations in Amplitude.
- Filter at either end. Use Sequenzy's event settings, or Amplitude's destination filters to keep events out of your Amplitude volume.
