About CrawlRaven
CrawlRaven is an SEO platform that joins Google Search Console, GA4, imported keyword research, and a site crawl into one ranked plan: what to write, what to update, and what to fix first. Agencies, consultants, and in-house SEO teams use it instead of stitching those datasets together in a spreadsheet.
Founder Rakesh Reddy needed email that could follow a user through that product, not a one-size-fits-all welcome sequence.
The gap: generic onboarding was not a lifecycle
CrawlRaven's users do not all do the same thing after they sign up. Some still need to connect Google Search Console. Some are discovering SEO opportunities. Some are ready to upgrade. Some have already paid and need a reason to stay.
A generic onboarding flow could not cover that range, and it could not move people between tracks as their account status changed.
The build: coordinated journeys driven by product events
Rakesh used Sequenzy to replace that generic flow with coordinated lifecycle journeys covering:
- Signup and onboarding
- Connecting Google Search Console
- Discovering SEO opportunities
- Upgrading
- Paid-customer retention
Those journeys are event-driven rather than static, time-based lists. Contacts move between tracks as their CrawlRaven account status changes.
The setup is developer-friendly without sacrificing the marketing workflow. The team manages subscribers, events, tags, segments, and sequences through the API and CLI as part of production infrastructure, then reviews the journeys in the visual sequence builder.
Event triggers, conditional branches, personalization, and enrollment cancellation are what made that usable in production.
It gave us precise control over who receives each message - and when someone should exit a journey.
Rakesh Reddy, Founder of CrawlRaven
Existing customers first, new users automatically
Introducing a new lifecycle system to people already in the product is usually the risky part: the wrong cohort gets the wrong email, or the first send produces a spike of bounces and complaints.
CrawlRaven backfilled eligible users into the appropriate journeys. The initial emails went out without bounces, complaints, suppressions, or unexpected recipients.
From that point, future users enter the relevant journeys automatically based on their activity in CrawlRaven.
Support that kept up with the implementation
The product and CLI work did not stop at the first working journey. Rakesh called out Sequenzy's responsiveness to detailed product and CLI feedback throughout the implementation - the kind of loop a team needs when lifecycle email is sitting next to production infrastructure rather than in a separate marketing tool.
