Fivetran starts with repeated verification prompts, then groups access messages and onboarding on day 6. Its onboarding email combines a free-trial message, a time promise, and a single next step.

Fivetran opens with account verification, using the same subject line: "Verify your email address to start moving data with Fivetran". The first arrivals all ask the recipient to verify an email address before using the service.
Verification also returns on day 6, alongside password and security messages. The day 6 email repeats the same request. Account verification is the most common kind of email here, making up 63% of the messages.
The cadence moves from repeated verification messages, including one on day 0, to a cluster on day 6: a password reset email, a password-changed security alert, another verification email, and onboarding content. The reset email provides one button and directs recipients to the Support Portal for additional access help. The plain-text security alert confirms the password change and also points to support if help is needed.
The onboarding email shifts from account maintenance to activation. Its subject, "Get your data AI ready: Activate free trial in <2 minutes.", gives the free-trial message and a time expectation in one line. Its preview text, "750+ sources. No credit card needed.", describes the available sources and states that a credit card is not needed. Inside, the email guides the recipient through adding a connector, selecting a destination, and completing a first sync.
Fivetran uses direct, task-led subject lines. The reset email uses "[Fivetran] Password Reset", while the alert uses "[Fivetran] Password Changed". The latter's preview text, "Your password has been changed successfully.", restates the outcome plainly. The repeated verification subject keeps the required action and product context visible without changing its wording.
The emails with single CTAs are the verification messages, the password reset email, and the onboarding email. The password-changed alert is plain text. Blue is used in the password reset, day 6 verification, and onboarding emails, while the onboarding email is the one that includes video. For your own lifecycle program, reserve one obvious action for access tasks, then make the first product action equally concrete.
