Tip 4: Give subscribers the VIP treatment

Unlock your subscribers' value during BFCM.

Why it works

  • Open by positioning the email as part of a larger series so readers understand its place and purpose.
  • Build the case for the advice before presenting a short list of practical ideas.
  • Use one prominent call to action, then keep the closing focused on support and related resources.

How it is built

  1. Series introduction
  2. Subscriber value context
  3. Three exclusive ideas
  4. Strategy call to action
  5. Series closing note
  6. Support and updates

We are here with our last, but certainly not least, tip in our four part series. Your subscribers already chose you once, and by BFCM they've usually used the product enough to actually have an opinion on it. That makes them a different kind of valuable during the holidays. They're the ones who talk about your brand to friends and family without being asked, and they're the ones gifting your product to people who've never heard of it. Most brands still send them the exact same BFCM promo as a cold shopper seeing the brand for the first time. Worth treating them a little differently instead: First look. Let subscribers shop your BFCM offers before you open them to everyone else. Something exclusive. A subscriber-only product or bundle they genuinely can't get elsewhere. A surprise in October. A small gift added to their next order, well before the holiday noise starts, to keep the brand top of mind. None of this is really about the discount. It's about giving the customers who already like your product, and who are quietly doing your word-of-mouth marketing for you, a reason to stay subscribed and keep buying right when it counts most. Build Your Subscriber Strategy → We hope you enjoyed our four part series of peak season tips. If you’re curious about any of these tips, contact our team, they would be happy to help you with your BFCM strategy. Questions? Our team is always here, just reply to this email. And if you want to explore everything we’ve been shipping lately, check out our changelog for the latest product updates, improvements, and releases.
