By Kate Manne Photo: Seth Wenig/AP Photo “What happened to me was horrific and deeply disturbing,” Jane Doe, a former Cornell student, told the Cornell Daily Sun in a September 18 story. “Almost two years later, I still carry the weight of its impact every day and night.” According to the lawsuit she filed earlier this month, Doe went to the Chi Phi fraternity house at Cornell University one night in October 2024, when she was 20 years old. She was meeting someone she considered to be a friend; she was visibly intoxicated. Nonetheless, she alleges, two frat brothers pressured her to snort ketamine and gave her marijuana and more alcohol.
