Macaly
Day 4 after signup
The lawyers changed things again 🫣
Updates to the Privacy Policy, DPA and AI Transparency Notice
Why it works
- A playful opening acknowledges the subject matter, then quickly promises a concise explanation.
- Organizing changes by document makes the update easy to scan, while clearly stating users’ options gives the notice practical next steps.
How it is built
- Playful legal opener
- Policy change overview
- Three document summaries
- Objection and account options
- Personal sign-off
- Mandatory notice and footer
Email copy
You opened a legal email. Respect. Since you're here, I'll keep it quick. The lawyers updated three documents on October 14: Privacy Policy: Ads only with your OK Ad platforms like Google or Meta only get your data if you accept ad cookies. You can change that anytime. Data Processing Agreement: Building for clients Making websites for your clients? The DPA now covers that. There are also a few new subprocessors on the list: Fireworks.ai, Perplexity AI and team.blue (BlueAI). AI Transparency Notice: Model providers with no memory of you When Macaly uses AI models through OpenRouter, your data only goes to providers that don't train on it and don't keep it. You can object to any of the new subprocessors. And if you disagree with the changes, you can stop using Macaly and close your account. You can write to hi@macaly.com with any objections or questions. Made it all the way to the end? Double respect. – Yours, Macaly This is a mandatory legal update. You can't unsubscribe from this one, the lawyers are watching. Macaly.com is operated by LANGTAIL.COM s.r.o. Zahrebska 562/41, 12000, Prague, Czech Republic.
