LifeAt builds onboarding as a guided productivity lesson: a welcome, a setup prompt, then lessons on tasks and time blocking. Four emails cover five days and move from personal guidance to practical instruction.

The welcome email establishes the journey rather than focusing only on a feature. Its subject, "Welcome to LifeAt 🌱 Set up your space", accompanies content that introduces a personal guide, outlines a 10-day focus and productivity journey, and invites the reader to use the desktop app. It also introduces the Pro Focus program, giving the new subscriber additional directions beyond initial setup.
The next email narrows that journey to a concrete first action. "Time to setup up your space 🖼️" guides the reader through creating a focused work environment by choosing calming spaces and starting a Pomodoro timer. It introduces setting work intentions as the next lesson. This email is plain text and has a single CTA.
The welcome email is sent on day 0, the setup lesson on day 1, and the later emails on days 3 and 5. The sequence therefore moves from an initial welcome to lessons with increasing gaps between them. The four emails span five days from signup.
After the space-building lesson, "Take control of your day with intentional tasks 📝" moves from environment to behavior. Its content teaches intentional tasks, tags, and Planning Mode, and the email is part of a multi-email onboarding sequence focused on building productive habits. The final email, "Planning your day and why it’s important 🌱", advances from tasks to time blocking. Its content explains how to connect calendars, organize tasks, and drag them into a weekly planner. The emails progress from creating a work environment, to organizing tasks, to planning when tasks happen.
LifeAt uses the personalized design for the welcome email, which introduces the personal guide and the broader focus and productivity journey. The setup and task emails are plain text, but only the setup email also has a single CTA. The fourth email is identified with green and blue colors.
The final email’s subject is "Planning your day and why it’s important 🌱", and its content connects calendars, tasks, and a weekly planner through time blocking. Taken together, the emails introduce the product, guide setup, develop task-planning practices, and explain a more structured daily-planning workflow.
