Head to the changelog for more! Read the changelog Full-site Git Sync support: Sync all your docs content to one repo You can now sync an entire docs site with a single Git repo using Git Sync. This doesn’t just make it easier to import and edit your docs using docs-as-code workflows — it also pairs with new site-level permissions to improve agentic workflows. Learn more GitBook Agent upgrades: Organization-level control, background agents and a new design This month has seen a ton of GitBook Agent upgrades. First, the Agent now lives in a persistent dock, so it keeps working as you move between pages. Its access now also matches each user’s permissions. Plus, we’ve added the ability to use background agents to help the Agent complete tasks faster. Learn more Style Guide checks You can now run up to three simultaneous style checks directly from the style guide itself. GitBook Agent opens one change request per space with the fixes it found, ready for you to review Learn more Add external links to your docs site’s nav bar This month brings a few new options for building your perfect site navigation. Add links to external pages, hide site sections, and list the same site section multiple times. Learn more Also shipped this month Improved prompt blocks — Prompt blocks now have a single button that sends the prompt straight to Claude, Codex, or Cursor, and remembers the site visitor’s choice. Merge table cells — You can now merge adjacent text and number cells in tables, horizontally or vertically. Simpler Channels setup — It’s now easier to set up a channel with Slack, Linear or GitHub thanks to a new setup flow. Better audit logs — Enterprise audit logs record agent instructions, custom font, OpenAPI specification, and translation changes. → Read the changelog → Get started with GitBook for free Webinar replay available now A new quality layer for documentation: What's new in GitBook View the replay © 2026 Copyright GitBook INC. 440 N Barranca Ave #7171, Covina, CA 91723, USA.
