Gaza’s story after three years: What comes next. Gaza City, Palestine. A man sits among the rubble of his home in the Al-Remal neighborhood in Gaza City after the entire neighborhood was destroyed by air raids. © Eyad Baba Dear friend, Today marks three years since the deadly and horrific attacks on Israel by Hamas. The tragic events of that day shattered lives and set in motion a war that has left generations in Gaza grieving, displaced, and struggling to survive. Learn more While a ceasefire is in place, the fragile peace has not brought safety or stability to everyone. Families remain unable to plan for the future, return home with confidence, or recover from years of conflict. One staffer in Gaza, Zeina, said: When I walk through the streets, nothing has truly changed. Every day, we pass through destruction and rubble, and the smell of death still lingers in the air. We are not safe, targeted killings continue, and innocent people are still paying the price. People are still living amid displacement, damaged infrastructure, unsafe water, and severe shortages of essential goods. Read the latest developments in Gaza. But the people of Gaza are not suffering alone. Your support helps families survive and pick up the pieces. Prosper Global has reached more than 400,000 people with emergency support, including food, cash, hygiene supplies, clean water, shelter kits, and psychosocial assistance. In April of this year alone, we’ve: • Delivered approximately 20,000 liters of safe drinking water each day to around 3,300 people in northern Gaza. • Launched emergency cash assistance for 1,485 vulnerable households across Gaza. • Continued work to reach 700 displaced families with support. Behind every number is a family making impossible choices: how to find clean water, feed their children, or afford basic necessities. Three years into this crisis, your compassion remains crucial. Your continued support helps Prosper Global provide safe water, emergency cash, food security support, and other essential assistance to families who need it most.
