Welcome to Honeycomb! Let’s Get Started. Step one: Send your telemetry data. There are multiple ways to send data to Honeycomb, but Honeycomb users who use the MCP complete this step 3x faster than those who use another method. In just a few steps, you can let it instrument your app, generate sample data, or pick up a pipeline you are already sending. Connect to Honeycomb MCP with the AI agent of your choice (like Claude Code). Run guided onboarding using sample data, real telemetry, an existing pipeline, or migrate from another observability vendor – we support migrations from tools such as Datadog, New Relic when using the MCP. Let your agent do the rest! If you choose real instrumentation, your agent adds OpenTelemetry instrumentation, verifies events are arriving, and can hand off to Canvas for deeper analysis.
