When should you choose Sequenzy?
1. You're building a SaaS product
If you bill through Stripe, Sequenzy connects directly and syncs your customer data automatically. That means your email automations know who's on a trial, who just upgraded, and who's about to churn - without you setting up a single Zapier workflow. Campaigner doesn't offer anything like this.
2. You'd rather not write emails yourself
Sequenzy's AI email generator lets you describe what you need ("Welcome sequence for new trial users who haven't activated yet") and generates the full sequence. Subject lines, body copy, delay settings - all of it. Campaigner has 900+ templates, but you still have to write every email from scratch. Try our free subject line tester to see the difference.
3. You want one tool for everything
Sequenzy handles transactional emails (password resets, receipts, notifications) and marketing emails in one platform. With Campaigner, transactional email is limited to the Advanced plan ($649/month) via API. Most Campaigner users end up using a second tool like SendGrid for transactional.
4. You don't want to pay $179/month
At 10,000 subscribers, Sequenzy is $49/month with every feature included. Campaigner's Essential plan is $179/month, and you still can't get multivariate testing without upgrading to Advanced at $649/month. Check our transparent pricing - no surprises.
When should you stick with Campaigner?
1. You need advanced testing
Campaigner's multivariate testing is genuinely powerful - test multiple subject lines, content blocks, and send times simultaneously. We're still building our A/B testing. If testing is central to your email strategy, use our A/B test calculator to plan experiments, but Campaigner is the better tool for running them today.
2. You sell physical products
Campaigner integrates deeply with Shopify and Magento. Product sync, cart abandonment, purchase-triggered emails - it's all there. Our e-commerce integrations are basic. If e-commerce email is your focus, also consider Klaviyo or Omnisend. See our Campaigner alternatives guide for the full rundown.
3. You want SMS marketing
Campaigner bundles SMS with their Essential plan for an extra $45/month. We don't offer SMS at all. If omnichannel is important, Campaigner, Brevo, or Klaviyo are better choices.
4. You need a massive template library
With 900+ responsive templates, Campaigner has us beat by a mile. We have around 20 templates plus AI-generated content. Check out our onboarding templates and product launch templates to see what we offer.
5. You use dynamic content heavily
Campaigner's dynamic content engine automatically adjusts emails based on subscriber attributes - showing different products, images, or offers to different segments within the same campaign. Our personalization is simpler and variable-based. If dynamic content is a core workflow, Campaigner is the stronger choice.
Honest Limitations of Sequenzy
We're newer: Campaigner has been around since the early 2000s. We're a younger platform still building features.
Smaller team: You get direct access to the founder, but we can't match Campaigner's support coverage yet.
Fewer templates: ~20 vs 900+. Our AI generates content, but if you want pre-built designs, Campaigner wins.
No SMS: If you need email + SMS together, look at Brevo or Campaigner.
No multivariate testing: Our A/B testing is coming soon, but multivariate is further out.
