When should you choose Sequenzy?
1. You're a SaaS Founder
If your business runs on software subscriptions, Sequenzy integrates directly with Stripe through our native Stripe integration. We sync customer data, MRR, subscription status, and churn signals. You can trigger emails based on trial endings, failed payments, and subscription changes. Brevo has generic e-commerce integrations but isn't designed for SaaS subscription management. Learn more about reducing SaaS churn with email.
2. You Need Unified Transactional + Marketing
Sequenzy has a separate transactional email system—your password resets and receipts don't count against your marketing quota. Brevo counts all emails toward the same limit, which can get expensive if you send many transactional emails. Check our transactional email templates to get started.
3. You Want SaaS-Specific Automations
We have built-in triggers for SaaS use cases: trial expiry sequences, usage-based alerts, churn prevention flows, upgrade prompts based on MRR. Brevo's automation is more generic—you'd need to build these from scratch. Our AI-powered sequences can help you set these up quickly.
4. You Prefer Focused Tools
Brevo tries to do everything: email, SMS, WhatsApp, chat, CRM, landing pages. That's powerful but adds complexity. If you just want to do email really well for your SaaS, Sequenzy is more focused on what matters—email campaigns, smart segmentation, and detailed analytics.
When should you stick with Brevo?
1. You Need Multi-channel Marketing
Brevo offers email, SMS, WhatsApp, and live chat in one platform. We only do email. If you want to reach customers across channels without juggling multiple tools, Brevo delivers. See our comparison with other multi-channel platforms.
2. You Have Many Contacts but Email Rarely
Brevo's pricing is based on emails sent, not contacts stored. Unlimited contacts on all plans. If you have a large list but only email them occasionally, Brevo's model is likely cheaper. We charge per subscriber regardless of email frequency, which works better for frequent senders. Check our transparent pricing.
3. You Need a Free CRM
Brevo includes a sales CRM on their free plan—deal pipelines, contact management, task tracking. We don't have CRM features. For small teams wanting sales + marketing in one free tool, Brevo is generous.
4. You're on a Tight Budget
Brevo's free plan has unlimited contacts (300 emails/day). Starter is just $9/month for 5,000 emails. Our free tier is only 100 subscribers. If you're bootstrapping and every dollar counts, Brevo's entry pricing is lower.
5. You Need Landing Pages
Brevo includes landing pages on their Standard plan ($18+/month). We don't have a landing page builder. If you need to create lead capture pages without a separate tool, Brevo has you covered.
Honest Limitations of Sequenzy
Smaller free tier: 100 subscribers vs Brevo's unlimited contacts.
Email only: No SMS, WhatsApp, or live chat.
No CRM: No deal pipelines or sales management.
No landing pages: You'll need a separate tool.
Subscriber-based pricing: If you have many contacts but email rarely, Brevo's per-email model may be cheaper.
A/B testing coming soon: Not available yet.
Honest Limitations of Brevo
Not built for SaaS: No native Stripe subscription management or MRR tracking.
Transactional counts toward limit: Your password resets use the same email quota as marketing.
Jack of all trades: Tries to do everything, which adds complexity and learning curve.
Basic CRM: The included CRM is functional but lacks advanced features like lead scoring.
Brevo branding: Need to pay $10+ extra to remove logo on lower plans.
Template library limited: Fewer email templates than dedicated email platforms.
Support varies: Limited support on lower tiers; priority support costs extra.
