Hey [First name],

Google rankings moved a lot over the last few days. Tracking tools spiked on Saturday, Oct 24, and again on Monday. Google hasn't confirmed an update.

If your traffic dipped, don't rewrite anything yet. Here's what I check first:

  1. Give it a few days. Search Console runs two to three days behind, and unconfirmed shake-ups sometimes settle back.

  2. Is it the whole site or a few pages? In Search Console, compare the last 7 days with the 7 before. If everything dipped about the same amount, it's Google, not your posts.

  3. Only fix posts that were already slipping. A post that was losing clicks before Oct 24 is worth updating. One that only dropped this weekend can wait.

Or skip the reports and just ask. RightBlogger Chat can read your Search Console. Open Chat, pick your site, and paste:

  • "Compare my Google clicks for the last 7 days with the 7 days before. Is the drop site-wide or a few pages?"

  • "Which 5 pages lost the most clicks? Did their position drop, or just impressions?"

  • "Was any of those pages already losing clicks before October 24?"

I ran the first one on my Title Capitalize site. Clicks were down 12, and the homepage alone lost 12. So I'm looking at one page, not the whole site.

RightBlogger Chat answer: the click drop was concentrated in a few pages, and the homepage alone lost 12 clicks.

Site Agent does this check for you. It looks at Google's confirmed update dates before it suggests edits, so a site-wide drop isn't treated as a list of posts to rewrite.

Did your traffic move this week? Hit reply and tell me which way. I read every one.

P.S. Over 80% of Google searches now show an AI Overview, up from about half in June 2025. If clicks fell but your positions held, that's often why. More on that next week.
