Hi, I'm Tomo, co-founder & CEO of Genomelink.
Our Y-DNA Paternal-Line Report and mtDNA Maternal-Line Report read your direct paternal and maternal lines straight from a DNA file you upload from Ancestry, 23andMe, or MyHeritage. No new test, no new kit, and checking your file is free.
With v2 of both reports, released last week, you can also add the Y-DNA, mtDNA, or whole genome sequencing (WGS) data you already have from another test, such as a FamilyTreeDNA Big Y, Y-DNA STR, or mtDNA test. Supported files: VCF, VCF.GZ, CSV, or TXT.
One thing to know: Genomelink's main features are built for DNA files from Ancestry, 23andMe, and MyHeritage. To use a Y-DNA, mtDNA, or WGS file, first create your account by uploading one of those files. You can then add your Y-DNA, mtDNA, or WGS file to the Y-DNA or mtDNA report.
Y-DNA Paternal-Line. Your Y chromosome traces one unbroken line back about 235,000 years. We assign your major haplogroup and show where that branch lived, the path it traveled, and 6,000+ ancient people worldwide who share it. (Y-DNA requires a male DNA sample.)
mtDNA Maternal-Line. Your mitochondrial DNA traces your direct maternal line back about 180,000 years, down to real ancient women from published sites who share your line.
Upload your Ancestry, 23andMe, or MyHeritage file to start. The previews are free and show your main result before you decide anything.
