Legal emails are nobody’s favorite, ours included. We updated our terms, privacy policy, affiliate agreement and cancellation policy, and the law says we have to tell you. So we kept it short and skipped the lawyer voice.
If you’re on a legacy rate, read this one. Your rate stays as long as your subscription keeps running as is. It ends if you cancel, switch between Starter and Premier, or let a failed payment sit for more than 21 days. Going from monthly to annual is fine. Updating your card is fine. Legacy rates are only honored if these requirements are met.
Affiliates got a real rebuild. Referrals, starting October 20th, 2026, earn a flat cash payout instead of a credit toward your subscription. If someone referred you and you used their code from that date on, they can see your name, email and whether you’re on a trial, paid or inactive. That’s the whole list. Not your plan, not your clients, ever.
AI, two flavors. Anything you type into Dubsado’s built-in AI features is never used to train a model. We put that in writing with our providers too. Separately, you will soon have the option to connect an outside AI assistant to your account through our MCP server. Nothing is connected unless you set it up yourself. If you do, that app’s privacy policy covers whatever it reads from your account, so give it a look before you connect. You can disconnect anytime in Settings >> Integrations.
We mimic sessions to make Dubsado better. Clicks and keystrokes are recorded to troubleshoot and handle bugs. Passwords, card numbers and form fields get masked in your browser before anything reaches us, and nobody uses recordings for ads or marketing.
