This small-lot Reserve comes from fruit grown at Sleeping Lady Vineyard in Yountville—one of those benchmark sites that consistently delivers Cabernet with both power and polish. It’s the kind of vineyard that winemakers speak about with a little extra reverence, and for good reason.

The problem with some of the most iconic Cabs from this vineyard as that they have just gotten so expensive, mostly due to the high accolades. These are those  Cabs that can retail for $200 or more! That's why we were simply ECSTATIC when this beautiful sample (both inside and out!) came across our tasting panel's desk. As you just knew this was going to be special... and it did not disappoint! Aged for 18 months in 70% New French Oak, it harks back to the "Old Napa" style: wide, large, and layered with blackcurrant, graphite, and tobacco leaf. 

Production is minuscule here—just five barrels, translating to about 120 cases total—so this isn’t something you’ll see around. It’s the kind of under-the-radar parcel that usually disappears quietly into private cellars or mailing lists. But by the grace of the wine Gods, we miraculously secured a small allocation and can offer it to our Napa Cab lovers at Under $35 —a price that, frankly, never comes around for 100% Cabernet of this level and origin, especially in this stunning package!
