Hi there,
Few people have seen more tech IPOs up close than Kate Claassen, Chairman of Global Internet Banking at Morgan Stanley.
On November 10, The Information will bring together Claassen and other leaders for The Long Road to an IPO, a discussion examining the decisions, challenges, and milestones involved in taking a company public.
Over more than 20 years in technology investment banking, Claassen has led IPOs and financings for companies including Airbnb, Amazon, Meta, Netflix, SpaceX, Tesla, Uber and xAI. She also advised on Elon Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of Twitter and Block’s $29 billion acquisition of Afterpay.
She'll be joined by Crystal Shen, Head of West Coast Capital Markets, New York Stock Exchange, who works with senior executives on capital markets transactions and the path to going public, and previously led liquidity strategy at Carta and originated tech IPOs at Jefferies. The Information's Dakin Campbell, who covers the money behind the AI boom, will moderate.
Date: November 10, 2026
Time: 5:30 p.m.
Location: The Howard, 661 Howard St., San Francisco
The event is designed for decision-makers preparing their companies for an IPO in the next 18–24 months.
