Here are a few tips for getting started using NodePing monitoring

Contacts

Contacts are used for three things in our system:

Depending on your plan, we support a number of types of notifications, including unlimited email, SMS, and webhooks.

Checks

Once you have your notification contacts set up, the next step is adding monitoring checks. We have a wide variety of types of services we can monitor for you, including simple and HTTP Advanced checks, SSH, Email, DNS, and a bunch of others. All of our plans include the ability to monitor services at one minute intervals.

In addition to monitoring the availability of services accessible from the Internet, NodePing can also help you monitor internal services and server metrics that aren't publicly accessible using our PUSH check. Most of our check types test the availability of your services by connecting from one of our 25 plus probes around the world. The PUSH check allows you to configure scripts to run on your internal machines that push metric information into our monitoring system, allowing you to use our system to monitor, track and alert just about anything on your network.

Billing

Once you're convinced that NodePing is the right monitoring solution for your business, you'll want to enter billing information to extend monitoring beyond your free trial. Even if you enter your payment information today, we do not charge you until your trial ends on 2026-10-29, and you can cancel if something comes up before then without any obligation or cost. So there's no downside to entering your billing information now.
