"Every now and then my palate longs for a really great Syrah. This Epoch Estate Syrah definitely qualifies. The wine features a velvety mouth experience and a balance that combines tasting notes of dark berries, a hint of chocolate and a smooth, lingering finish. Sophisticated yet bold enough to pair nicely with roasted lamb or dark meat turkey, but just as much at home with some nice, fresh, crusty sourdough and a plate of white cheddar or havarti cheese."
