Friend,
Life for Palestinians in Gaza is nearly impossible.
After three years of constant bombardment, civilians are living through one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. More than 1.4 million people are expected to face high levels of acute food insecurity through December 2026.
Recently, Mohammed told us about his family’s experience:
“We had a good life. Not rich, but comfortable. We had a home, work, land, and trees,” he shared. In the first year of the war, Mohammed spent all his savings trying to feed his children. Food was scarce, prices were skyrocketing, and movement was dangerous. His weight dropped from 105 kilograms to about 60. His children also began to lose weight. “We ate wild plants that grew from the ground. There was nothing.”
Mohammed’s suffering is shared by millions of families across Gaza and in global crisis zones like Somalia, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. As these hunger emergencies intensify, we desperately need your help to slow this crisis and save lives in places experiencing extreme inequality.
Can you make a gift today to help Oxfam meet critical needs in Gaza and more than 70 countries around the globe?
Eman, a mother of three living with her family in a tent, says: “Mice and rats eat through the tent and contaminate our food.”
Tahrir, a grandmother who walks for hours for water, tells us: “Every cup has become precious.”
Oxfam and partners are providing food and hygiene supplies, clean water, psychosocial support, and other critical assistance in Gaza. Around the world, we are working with partners to meet urgent needs and confront the unequal systems that allow hunger, poverty, and other injustices to persist.
Your support allows us to go wherever we’re needed to meet the urgent needs of people in the most challenging crisis zones. With hunger upending lives worldwide, we’re asking for your help.
Make a gift to Oxfam today to help provide lifesaving humanitarian assistance to hungry families and fight the rampant inequalities fueling this crisis.
Sincerely,
Oxfam America
