Give it up for Open Source maintainers
Another year, another opportunity to thank the folks who make Open Source the powerful entity that it is. It’s our sixth year of giving, and this time we rounded up to deliver a clean ONE MILLION DOLLARS to the maintainers that keep things 💯.
We couldn't build our products without Open Source software, and maintainers do their best work when they're funded. Since launching in 2024, the Pledge has raised a total of $8,421,535 from 37 member companies, every penny of which has gone directly to Open Source maintainers and foundations.

A better AI Assistant: Seer Agent now writes to Sentry through the Sentry API instead of just reading from it. So what does that mean for you? It means you can ask it to help manage issues, conduct deeper investigations, set up custom dashboards, and create new monitors/alerts. Pretty cool, if you ask us.
-
Connect external telemetry: Seer Agent can now tap infrastructure data from Datadog and Google Cloud Platform through the new Seer Connectors screen, and use it alongside your Sentry data to diagnose issues.

Seriously, there's been a lot lately |

Measure bfcache with Application Metrics: When the Back button works instantly, your monitoring tools never notice, which makes bfcache problems easy to miss. A new opt-in integration in Sentry’s JavaScript SDK v11 tracks hits, misses, and when it impacts critical experiences.

Sentry is a launch partner for Anthropic’s native OpenTelemetry tracing on the Claude Platformnative OpenTelemetry tracing on the Claude Platform, now in public beta. Choose Sentry as a provider in the Claude Console, paste your DSN, and traces from Claude Managed Agents and the Messages API flow into the same project as your errors and backend span. No code changes needed! Follow our step-by-step cookbook to get set up in under 5 minutes.
- Agent conversation sorting and filtering: Find expensive and failing agents easily. Search by cost, token usage, tool calls, and errors. Type conversation in the search bar to see all available aggregate fields, combine multiple filters and sort columns, right from the Agents page in Sentry.
-
Smarter search for Logs: Search for logs with regex to find log lines by what they look like instead of the exact words. (Youtube video \ Changelog.)
- The Unreal Engine MCP now speaks Sentry: On Unreal Engine 5.8, you can ask your coding agent to set up Sentry, upload debug symbols, and dig into crashes for you, all from inside the editor. It’s still experimental, so expect a few rough edges.
-
Sentry’s Flutter SDK 10.0: Streaming traces are now the default, and errors that don’t actually crash your app no longer tank your crash-free rate. Startup also gets its own trace on Android and iOS.
-
Reducing Android scope-sync overhead in Sentry Flutter: Turns out the Flutter SDK was normalizing the same data twice on Android. Cutting that and an unneeded buffer copy sped up scope updates by 27-30% in Sentry’s benchmarks. You’ll get it in sentry_flutter 9.26.0 and later.

Agent Tracing for JavaScript now auto-instruments Anthropic, OpenAI, Vercel AI SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, and Mastra — including Jev classifier evaluations and MCP server monitoring — across Node.js, Bun, Cloudflare, and Deno. See the full list →
