Remote roles
I hope you’re staying healthy—I'm crossing my fingers to dodge a cold going around my coworkers!
While AI safety jobs are clustered in the San Francisco Bay Area, Washington, DC, and London, there are also many remote opportunities (just like my own job!) and we're always on the hunt for more to add to our job board. This week, I'd like to share some promising ones:
- Kairos is an AI safety fieldbuilding organisation that aims to mitigate the risks from advanced AI by helping fill talent gaps in the field. They're hiring for:
- A Recruiter to run Kairos's hiring rounds end-to-end, overseeing applications, interviews, work tests, and offers.
- A Generalist, Talent Operations to identify promising talent and connect them with high-impact opportunities.
- Survival and Flourishing is a public benefit corporation that supports companies, organisations, and projects aiming to improve the survival and flourishing of humanity and other sentient beings. They’ve also supported 80,000 Hours through past donations. They are hiring for various Engineering Roles to help develop software for funders and grant evaluators, and are open to hiring remotely with timezone overlap with the US.
- The Tarbell Center for AI Journalism is a nonprofit that supports journalism to help society navigate the emergence of increasingly advanced AI. Applications are now open for their one-year AI Journalism Fellowship, combining training and newsroom placement. This includes a three-month remote course, followed by a newsroom placement in the US, UK, or Hong Kong.
