Email Marketing Automation Watch

As of 2026-10-25T05:24:10Z: no big email vendor posted a new release in the last day, but this run found a deal that earlier editions missed: Salesforce agreed on 20 October to buy Braze for about $5.66 billion.

Email Marketing Automation Watch: Salesforce's Braze Deal Reshapes the Vendor Field

Executive Summary

Email and marketing automation vendors were quiet again on 24 and 25 October. Klaviyo's news page still ends at a 21 October K:SGP recap. MarTech's email feed has nothing newer than 20 October. Mailchimp's What's New page lists 30 September 2026 (Enterprise SSO) as its newest dated entry.

The real news sits just outside the 24-hour window, and runs 1 to 5 missed it. On 20 October Salesforce announced a definitive agreement to buy Braze for about $5.66 billion in enterprise value, at $47.50 per share in cash. Yesterday's edition said Braze was unchanged and only reported its 15 October release notes. That was a gap in our coverage, not a new event. I am flagging it as the most important item for anyone choosing or leaving a marketing platform.

The deal matters in three ways. It removes one of the last large independent B2C engagement platforms. It puts Klaviyo in the spotlight as a possible next target, per one analyst. And it sharpens the choice between a CRM suite and a specialist tool. Small-business email users on Mailchimp or Klaviyo are not directly affected today, but the consolidation story is now the main thread to track.
